The goal of MyPromille is to give awareness about the combination between drinking and driving. MyPromille tracks your alcohol consumption and calculates your blood alcohol content (BAC). Dont use this app to determine if you are able to drive or not!
With the user info (gender, weight, age...) we can approximate the BAC. The formula (from in a scientific study of Biomed Central) that we use is mathematically and theoretically correct but it can be different when comparing with a breathalyser.
When tracking your drinks, MyPromille is showing your current BAC and gives you an indication when your BAC is lower than the legal limit so you can drive again.
MyPromille has the option to
- Track your drinks (beer, wine, cocktails…)
- Show the current BAC
- Show a timestamp when the BAC is below the legal country limit
- Search in a database for types of beers and provides some info about the beer type
- Show your friends that are online and also tracking their drinks
MyPromille is supporting metric units. Imperial units will be supported in the future. The drinks are displayed in cl and the percentage of alcohol in ‰.
We support different languages: English, Dutch, French, Portuguese. Countries where the drinking limit is included in the app: Belgium, Germany, Italy, The Netherlands, Luxembourg, United Kingdom, Switzerland, Brazil.
